  1. ive ripped plenty of dvds using smart ripper, dvd2avi and tmpegenc, ive had no trouble but i wanna know if its possible 2 squeeze a longer film like gladiator onto 2 discs??? the way im doing it now, longer films wont fit on 2 cds... im guessing i gotta lower the quality but i dont know how??? can sumone help me out???

  2. errr...gladiator's gonna be on at least 3 discs....i don't think you're gonna like the quality of the rip if you fit it on 2 discs...unless u compress to divx.

    i only know one way, using smart ripper dvd2avi and tmpegenc, i dont know how to lower the quality, how do i do that, lower the bitrate???

    lets just say a film is just over 2 discs and i wanna squeeze it onto 2 discs, how would i go about it????

  4. what is the size of your mpg file you can fit 800mbs with an 80 min cdr and 740mbs on a single 74 min cdr

    actually for me, i've only been able to fit 795.57 MB on 80 min CD-R.

    also, Pashak, if your rip is barely over 2 discs, you can cut out the credits, which is usually around 5 min. if you're anal like me and don't want to cut out stuff, just lower your bitrate by a little bit. that will reduce your filesize and quality somewhat.
