Hi, I have a question.. I was making a data dvd with video (avi) files on it to play on my stand alone dvd player. I added 2 files the first time, and then added 4 more files the second time and finalized the dvd. when I play the dvd in my dvd player only the first two files are available. when I put the dvd in my computer, only the 2nd 4 files are available. Anyone know what happened, or if there is a way to get the first two files onto my computer so I can make a new dvd? (unfortunatly I erased the first two files from my HD because I needed space..
Thanks...

Or try CDCheck
http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/download.php
You then go here :
http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/registration.php
"If you decide not to purchase a license, you should request Free license from CDCheck ONLINE! (you must register as CDCheck ONLINE! user, activate account, login to CDCheck ONLINE! repository and request free license)".

Or to recover the avi's on the hard drive ... yes there still there , use drive rescue from http://www.woundedmoon.org/win32/driverescue19d.html
================
Nero , if that's what was used to burn the setion's has some ability to pull previous burn setion's from disc ... but once it's finalized , that's pretty well it .

I'll have to dig through my collection kit ... there used to be a tool that prevented the file's from being permanently deleted from the system ... you had to access this tool via the recycle bin to tell it to either recover the file's or purge them for good ... that thing saved my bacon once before . -
yeah, I was using nero 7. I went back into nero and checked disk properties, and it showed two different sessions(tracks).. So i guess the data is still there on the dvd, but I cant figure out how to change it to a different track to get the info...but, speaking of info, thanks for your info.. Ill check out your links. they definetly look useful...
Cheers... -
If nero show's them , then I wonder in your case if you can import those setion's to a new project , and output as an iso to the hard drive ... you never know unless one fiddle's with all the feature's as to what is possible .
