  1. I found a guide on this site which I used:
[kitty kode]'s DVD to H.264/AVC/AAC/MP4 Guide found here:

    http://kitty.110mb.com/dvd2avc/tools.html

Indeed it took a long time to encode (two days almost).
At the very last step of the guide (Mux the video and audio), I get an error message in the meGUI Queue when it's done. I have no audio in the mp4 any longer and the subtitle insertion didn't work either.

Please help. I have the audio track (mp4 aac) but don't know how to combine it in the mp4 video file and the subtitles as well (which I ripped using Vobsub Rip).

A little frustrated after two days. Video does look good though.

  2. I should add that the source I started with was a NTSC DVD9.
I used the guide (meGUI, Gordian Knot, X264) to encode with 264 to ~1400mb mp4 file.

  4. So the problem was the sub file i was trying to mux. Just muxed the video (mp4) and audio (mp4) and it's fine. I'll just leave the sub (idx, sub) file external.
