Media: Ridata -R 8.13gb DL-DVDs
Recorder: Benq DW1650
Recording Software: Nero 7.2
Burned Content: 18 Xvids
Problem: When burnt using Nero 7.2.x, all 18 xvids read and play fine on the computer but when inserted into 3 totally different modern-day Divx/Xvid players (ie. LG LDA-530, RJTECH 1500DXII, and OPPO 970HD) only the first 9 videos on the DL DVD play but the last 9 do not (just sit there saying "decoding" and then go back to main menu). They show up in the menu on the Divx/Xvid Players fine except the last 9 which show on the RJTECH as unknown.
Is this totally media or software-related in Nero? What should I be using instead? UltraIso, Cheetah? Something else?
Thanks VideoHelp Community!

1) Verbatim DLs are almost impossible to find up in Canada whereas RiData DLs I can get for $1.90 CDN per DL DVD which is insanely cheap. I'm doubting this is a media problem especially when 3 amazing and totally different Divx/Xvid players were used for testing.
2) ImgBurn2 can burn individual sets of files and not just ISOs? I will try it otherwise.
Thanks GSlinger -
Usin Nero 6.6.1.4 and Memorex +R DLs (Ritek) they play fine in a phillips 5960. Using DVD Decrypter to ISO Read/ISO Burn DL originals they play fine in the phillips, and Aeso 8.4" and Orbit 4 in 1 portable DVD players. The Orbits only play if it is the original DVD drive, The replacement drive they supplied doesn't like the DL +R discs it seems. They start to play then die and never again. I suspect that playing DL +Rs damages the laser in those or it is marginal....
Anyway bottom line it could easy be the player. I have Sonys that play VCD/SVCD/DVD +R & -R but dies at the layer change on burned discs. Pioneer 531h also seems to play them ok, Only DVD video there tho. No DIVX on that model.
As cheap as single layers are... The fact that they play on the computer seems to point to the player, however as a test why not do a DVD Decrypter ISO read/ISO Write of a DL DVD and see if it plays OK? -
Imgburn 2 excels at DVD Video and data burning. It doesn't do audio etc, but that is no great loss.
That Verbatim are hard to get doesn't make the alternatives worthwhile. Personally, I think DL playback compatibility is still back where single layer was at the beginning - very hit and miss, even with good media.Read my blog here.
