  1. i have a bunch of karaoke files in .vob format... these things are basically DVD video with 2 audio stream so that you can switch on the fly with any DVD viewing program or regular DVD player... i tried to compile them into 1 DVD (for the shake of easier picking) using Tmpgenc DVD author... to my surpise i tried EVERY audio setting for the files but the end result is only 1 audio stream... i'm gonna need some help on this one... any other program that will work with this type of project?

I would try DVDAuthorGUI or GUI for dvdauthor.

Also TMPGEnc DVD Author 2.0 supports 2 audio streams per video file. The older versions prior to 2.0 only support 1 audio stream per video file.

  4. update... even the new TMPGenc dont' work they say it's multiple channel but they simply duplicate channel 1 into channel 2... rather than putting channel 2 into channel 2

i can get it to work by extracting the audio previously and add it in manually... which is kindda stupid IMO when the vob already has it set... this is quite irritating

Now that I think of it ... I had the same problem. I think I used DGIndex to demux the video and the 2 audio channels then added them individually to get the 1 video with 2 audio tracks.

At least it works ... right?

BTW I've read that TMPGEnc DVD Author 3.0 is out in Japan and it has several new features including (finally) subtitle support (i.e., soft subtitles). Hopefully an English USA version will be forthcoming soon.
