  1. Hello all,
Ok here's my issue. I've converted numerous .AVI files to DVD format using ConvertXtoDVD. Once I converted the files if I would open the files on my HD they would play fine, no skipping or jumping on the video playback. But I noticed that everytime after I burn them with Nero 7 Ultra Edition the video comes out choppy and eventually the video and audio are completely out of sync. Does anybody know of a good burning program out there that would fix this problem? Or is there a setting in Nero that I am missing? I would burn with my copy of ConvertXtoDVD but when I go to burn it pops up and says that it is an evaluation copy.
    Please help!!!
    Thanks in advance!

ImgBurn to burn and use top quality media i.e Taiyo Yuden.
He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect.

I haven't had any trouble burning with Nero, although I am still using v6.x

I suspect the problem is media related. Although Nero isn't everyones favorite tool, it is usually dependable for burning (at least for SL media). Try a different brand/type of media.

You could also look up your player in the DVD Players section and see what media others have had success using.

Are you using Nero to strictly do the BURN, or is it doing any "Authoring"?

In addition to trying different media, perhaps your burning speed is too fast (try 4x if you are burning faster than that).

  5. Thanks to all the help! I decided to go ahead and pay for the full version of ConvertXtoDVD and once I did that I was able to burn using this program with no problems. I've burnt 5 DVD's so far and they all are playing back 100% better.
Thanks again for all the suggestions.
