Hi Pals,
I am compeletely full of my HD Space.I have copied a lot of DVDs in it.I want to convert them into smaller volumes.I am not bothered about DVD compatibility.I just want to store them in my Hard Disk.If conversion time is less it is a bonus, but I can go with longer conversions also. The thing I am bothered about is Quality loss. Please suggest some Converter and the settings in which I should use them(Like bit rate, file format, type of codecs etc.)
I tried some Converters & DVD Shrink like S/W,but I either I don't know to use them or they are not much effective, but I did not get the desired results.

I would make AVI XviD, DiVX or MP4/MKV H264/AVC. Around 1 GB/movie with good quality.
H264/AVC, https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=965#965 very good quality...but probably a bit too much work....
DivX or XviD, use AutoGK or FairUse Wizard. They are very easy to use and pretty good quality if you use high enough bitrate.
