is this being done yet?
I don't think there are any internal HD-dvd drives out yet but i figured someone could buy a HD-DVD player and hook the HDMI link to their computer and save the movie (would be crazy big file)...some how. Then encode it with divx or some encoding tool....
Will it ever be done? Is the encoding for HD-DVD already advanced like divx or could some quality be compromised and still get a 720 line HD resolution on a dual layer dvd or two dvdr?
I've been looking for HD-DVD torrents that have done something like this and can't find much....why not?

google HDCP and you'll figure out why it'll take a while... Supposedly uncrackable, but it'll just take time.
