    My girlfriend bought a DVP3020 dvd but it won't play DivX. Is there a firmware hack to get to play DivX ie the 3010 etc can?

    No and there never will be. This player does not support Divx/Xvid/mpeg4 playback. It does not have the proper hardware to do this. Tell her to return it and get the 3010 or 5140, even better the 5960.
