converting VOBs to mpeg2 - lossless

I'm looking for a tool that will let me pick the video stream off a dvd and convert(is that the right word?) to a mpeg. I want lossless video and AC3. No subtitles required. Is there a tool out there that can do this for me?

I had been messing around with dvd::rip/transcode and even tried with 1.0 xvid quality but that still compresses it some degree.

Is there any tool out there that will do this easily?

vob2mpg. If you want to cut out something you can first use dvd shrink in the reuathoring mode and then use vob2mpg.

Or use pgcdemux to demux to video and audio streams and then make a mpg from them using a multiplexer.
