I can't believe DVD players can't play .wmv Windows Media Player files?

Anyone know of any that do?

    Thanks!

I think I did see one that plays wma , I'm sure I bought one as a gift that did that last year , but wmv , dont think so .

I'll have to catch up with them and double check it , as it had me stumped when I seen it .

I would have said I dont believe they cant play rm and rmvb , but then I know better ...

Very few players supports wmv, some are listed in our dvd player list: https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers?DVDname=&Search=Search&dvdportable=&dvdchanger=&dv...Submit2=Search

I looked at your list and didn't see any.

You would think that at least Microsoft would make a player that plays their own format. I mean other than a computer that obviously plays it. But it would seem to make sense to have a set-top box player - one you can play on your TV.

I guess I will have to contact some manufacturers and see why they don't do it. I may start a business and sell a player that plays .wmv files. I think there is a market for it.

Don't count on me buying one ... you don't want to hear what I have to say about that format ... but in short , it's pure dribble .

I want a unit that plays rmvb ... not asking much .
