    Hi all,
My new ATI X800XL CrossFire Edition video card has only component out but I would like to have a composite out connection for my TV. Is there such an adapter from component to composite or component to s-video? Currently, I am using a s-video to composite adapter on my ATI Radeon 9700 pro video card to connect to my TV. Please advise. Many thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    TLO

Your S-Video to composite adaptor adds Y and C to make composite.

    . or .

Going the other way requires a complex Y/C separator

If you are talking about Analog component YPbPr to composite, that requires a NTSC or PAL encoder.

There may be a cheaper one. Go Google but a new TV with YPbPr in should be cheaper and get much better quality.

    Thank you so much
I guessed I would just get a cheap secondary PCI video card for the TV out.
    TTYL.

    For composite that could work.
