  1. It was working fine yesterday but todat after opening the tray it wouldn't close. Does anyone might know what is wrong?

    Depending on unit .

    Tray's drive belt broken .
    Tray's drive gear malfuction (worn teeth)
    Tray's close / open sensor malfuction .

    Depend's if you pressed the button on the unit to close the tray or the remote .
    In case of remote ... batteries or defect keypad component .

    Make sure the tray can fully close, it may not even be apparent that it can't. I installed a brand new drive on my computer and switched the plate after which it wouldn't close. It was a very miniscule amount that wasn't allowing it to fully close, so little that it looked like it was fully closing...

  4. Make sure there isn't a dvd in the back somewhere.

    ALso try pushing it in with your finger.
