  1. i have a sony dvp ns500v.......................i have a dvd that someone ripped for me, when i try to play it , it gives me a c:13:00 disc is dirty error...............yet cds i made with tmpeg play fine, i searched the disc on my comp, there are a few ifo and bup files , but the big files are vob..................what do i need to do convert it or something?

    Can another DVD player or your computer play the disc? If yes, then the disc brand/type is most likely not compatible with your Sony. If no, then the disc is most likely faulty or not formatted correctly.

  3. i converted it to mpg using dvdx, since i dont have a dvd burner, however it has black borders top and bottom, and its stretched horizontally, can i crop those somehow with tmpeg, or do i have to convert again using a different aspect ratio
