  1. Hi All,

I working with Sony Vegas 7.0c, and I'm creating slideshows, and movies using 4:3 aspect. I was wondering, is there a script that will convert my entire project to widescreen, instead of me doing it manually?

    Thanks.

VASST would be the place to look.

If you just want a quick crop and resize, which is all a script is likely to give you anyway, complete your project and save it. Open a new project, and drag your first project onto the timeline. Now use Event Pan and Crop and Track Motion to crop and resize your output, and render as 16:9.

However personally, I wouldn't do it that way. Applying a blind crop to material originally shot 4:3, unless it was specifically framed with 16:9 conversion in mind, can result in heads and other parts of interest being cut off indiscriminately. A better, although certainly more time consuming method, is to pan and crop each clip individually, to ensure it is properly re-framed.
