Hi, I've been hunting all over the internet to see if anyone else has experienced this problem, as I don't know if I have a faulty machine here or if I've simple not set it up correctly.
My DVD player (Toshiba SD-160 (the silver one, not the black snazzy thing that keeps popping up in searches)) keeps flickering to black at random intervals whilst playing DVDs, changing the size format on the screen back and forth before settling on one for a few minutes and then flickering again. This can go without happening for up to 20 minutes, but can also go into a sort of 'spasm' and keep happening every couple of seconds. Irritating as hell.
It's definitely not the TV as the TV's setup menu doesn't vanish when the screen flickers, but the DVD player menu does, and I've already gone through the manual to no avail.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
~ Krax.

Sounds like a hardware issue. Could be the DVD player, cable, or the input on the TV. If you have another DVD player, you can use it to eliminate the cable and TV input.
