Not only does Roxio not work - it is impossible to contact anyone to get help. Here is what you will face if you make the mistake of purchasing Roxio EZ Media Creator 9 - you'll find no capability to contact the company for tech support. There is a paid tech support number - and I was not about to pay to get help for a product I just purchased. Their on-line support requires you to log in - only Roxio nevers sends you a password and you cannot register on-line. You can call the Customer Service phone number found on the web-site but get comfortable for your hour wait - you'll be angry by then but don't get out-of-line or they will hang up on you, meaning another hour wait. By then you might want to request instructions for a refund, but not me - I requested a password. Only, as I went to log in it told me I already had an account. So I waited another hour for Customer Service to get the refund information. While I was waiting, I searched and found the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I also had time to file a complaint to the BBB. Then I went and found alternative software and downloaded it. And finally Roxio answers the phone and I got my refund information.

Just read the reply from Roxio to the BBB, talking about all these great tech support mechanisms, and Mr. XXX never tried our free on-line tech support - duh!! If you can't log-in, you can't leave a record. SMART Roxio. Well, the BBB response had a number to call for refunds.....which directs you to a recording.....which instructs you to access an online link.....which takes you to a page that no longer exists. DUH!!!

Go akead and waste your money, get angry, and then go buy another brand of software that works. Just don't make yourself miserable by trying to contact and work with Roxio.

I think that many of us discovered problems with Roxio years ago.

My gripe is I went to install the latest AVG anti-virus which informed me that the version Roxio I'm running has some issues and I needed to update. Fine.... automatic update withion the roxio program reports no updates avaialable.. Roxio site says otherwise but requires you to register to get the update... What a PITA, just give me the damn file.

    1) Most "All in one" softwares are complete garbage.
    2) I wouldn't try a brand new All-In-One on my old computer because I only have 512MB of RAM....like yours....

Did you try Roxio's "Contat Us" page? I frequent their forums and I see this complaint all the time. To be honest, it baffles me. You can call for free support for Media Creator 9 simply by using the number on their contact us page. It isnt like they hid it.

Check the very top item. Once you click there, it gives you a free phone #. What could be more simple?
