I've discovered that my Toshiba SD-4900 only supports -R media. I recently had a scratched disc that wouldn't play so I used Slysoft to copy it to +R disc, but it won't play in my player. I've checked every electronics store in town for a +R DVD player with 5.1 output jacks, but can't find one. The Sony BlueRay player is OK, but doesn't support regular CD media. I've got a set of 5.1 computer speakers plugged directly into my DVD player for the el-cheapo home theater effect. My 46in Daewoo plasma screen doesn't support Hidef so there is no point getting any thing more than progressive scan. Any makes and models out there of DVD players that have the 5.1 outputs and support +R media?
Thanks!
