Here's the skinny...I have a Sony TRV65 Hi-8 camcorder (this IS NOT a DV camcorder). It has composite out and S-Video out. I also have a Sony VCR w/all the necessary connections (composite in/out, S-Video in/out).
I wanted something that would let me watch TV, record video from my camcorder, edit the video and then dump it back to my VCR or burn it to VCD, and use my camcorder as a webcam / netcam.
When I first begun talking to people about this (unfortunately before I found this website), everyone told me to get an ATI All-In-Wonder card. They said this would be the best solution for my needs, so I bought the ATI AIW Radeon.
All of this is not as simple as I thought it would be. I am having trouble finding software that will allow my camcorder to be used as a netcam. I am having trouble finding editing software that is somewhat easy to use. I currently have the bundled software (Ulead VideoStudio) and Adobe Premier 6.0 (which is very difficult to use, as is all Adobe software).
Can anyone give me some suggestions? ATI's website is really of no help.
Thank you in advance.

You are asking for a lot of diff things....
1 - Capture: just about anything discussed here can do that.
2 - Edit: You have the software, but you can check out the HOW TO: Edit, and post questions in the EDIT FORUM.
3 - Watch TV: Is that not what you have a TV for? Seriously, I think your card can do that already...
4 - Your card should have a video out, does it work? If your card does not, then you need more hardware...
5 - Burn to VCD: Unless you have a really fast processor, you need to get your stuff in MPG1/2 format for (S)VCD. Read the capture and Convert under HOW TO
6 - Web CAM: Cool. You might be better off to buy a $30 thing at best buy. I do not know of any software to take capture and send over web. anyone else...

Thanks guys. I will try your idea on Webcam32.
PS I know it seems silly to want to watch TV on the PC, but I have a home office and it is not space feesible to have a TV in the office. Therefore, I like the TV feature on my PC.
