I have a dvd player that handles AVI files in divX codec, so I can just make data discs and play them, it also plays mpeg files burned on a data disc. Now I'm looking to get another player which is divX compatable and I'm wondering if this means it would play data discs of Mpegs too?

    Cheers.

  3. Divx support doesn't guaranty MPG support but all Divx players I've seen also play MPG. Check the DVD player list, look for DVD-MPEGISO compatability.

  5. One thing to watch out for: the ISO format has a 2 GB file size limit (UDF allows up to 4 GB but not all players can handle the format). And some players will have problems with files over 1 GB.
