I just got the ATI TV Wonder Elite and found it only scanned the first 140 channels, then only configured the first 99. I don't have the card hooked up to my cable box, just a straight cable line, because it's on a different floor of the house. I was hoping the tuner would would be the same as getting another box. I'm using the Power Cinema software that came with the package, but should probably upgrade.
To get all 999 channels I get on my cable box do I need a better TV tuner, better software, hook it up to a cable box, or drink more?

Tuner cards are only capable of tuning the non-digital and non-scrambled channels, the same channels you can receive using only your regular TV or VCR. All of the other channels require a cable box. Typically, all channels 100+ are digital.
