    Hello,

    I get the following error as soon as i hit convert button in Smartmovie Converter

    Address: 1b:00000000, Exception code: c0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION)
    Registers:
    eax = 00000000, ebx = 00936d80, ecx = 7c8315e1, edx = 00000001
    esi = 00becb80, edi = 00000240, ebp = 028afd44, esp = 028afd24

    Module: smartmovie.exe
    <unknown function>
    <unknown function>
    <unknown function>
    <unknown function>
    <unknown function>
    Please note, I have already tried registering l3codecx.ax using regsvr32 command... (Googled)
    installed/uninstalled, various codec packs (XP codec pack/K-lite full codec pack)

    Kindly note that it was working earlier, now suddenly it stopped and gives this error
    I also tried reinstalling the converter itself, even older version too, but all give same error

    Please help.

    Does this occur with a specific movie? A specific type of movie (avi, mpg, etc.)? What are you trying to convert?

    Try a different app. Take a look in the TOOLS section or go to the HOW TO - CONVERT section for more information.

    My guess is the program is trying to access a memory location that it's not allowed to. It may not be the codec at fault, but something the program is doing. I would send the error information to the program's support page: http://www.lonelycatgames.com/index.php?note=products&chapter=support

    Meanwhile, you could try a different program, SUPER is freeware and works well for some conversions of that type.

    And welcome to our forums.
