I don't know how you would combine two seperate software packages.

  3. @Krispy Kritter,
Cinema Craft Encoder is not software package, it is encoder! DVD-workshop also own integrated encoder, but its very very poor video-quality! Therefor i need everytime again encode my DVD-Menu created with DVD-workshop with Cenima Craft Encoder separately to get proper video quality.

Encode your videos in CinemaCraft to dvd-compliant assets, and then use them "asis" in DVD WS 2.x (i.e. do not check the option in DVDWS that says "Convert to disc template").

When it comes to encoding the menus (and just the menus!), MainConcept is just as good as CCE, if not better. Don't be too brainwashed by CCE-loving forum users. Sure, CCE is great, but it's not THAT much better than anything else, and in various situations it's outright worse. A few industry pros are on this site, and they are not CCE users, they prefer MC and some others (including hardware options).

CCE is encoding software. It's not just an engine.
    DVDWS2 is authoring software.

What you ask doesn't make much sense.

Do as GEORGEW says, and encode all MPEG video (and whatever audio) in advance, never let authoring software convert video for you.

    Easy enough. Good luck.

  6. Thanks GeorgeW!

I need it only for MENU encoded, DVD-workshop encoded everytime menu anew, I mean Buttons, text etc. and also video-streams. The option in DVDWS Convert to disc Templates its posible only in Edit-option on main-movie stream, but not in Menu.

When working with DVDWS2 under Make Disc options-> General-> Encode Driver there is a pulldown listing Ulead's encoder (no other choices though, why the pulldown?). It would be nice if one could configure it to work with other encoders, i.e. CCE, MC etc. I assume that was the poster's question.

Sorry I misunderstood -- I do not know of a way to make DVD WS 2.x use an external mpeg encoder for the menus.
