DVD+RW discs not working on Apex 660

I haven't gotten any DVD+RW discs to work on this player yet it says its compatible.

I've authored a DVD using:
MyDvd
DVDit
Spruce Up
ReelDVD
and Ulead's DVD Movie Factory

using Memorex and Sony DVD+RW discs and im getting a NO Disc error

yet when I put the authored DVD+RW disc in my DVD-rom drive, it plays fine (so i know the authoring went okay).

Anyone know if there is a list of "compatible" brands of media? or if its just hte player and its not really compatible with DVD+RW discs? If its not then we need to update the DVD Player list to say so.

To my knowledge the Apex660 only supports DVD-R and not DVD+RW. A Firmware upgrade of the drive won't help you either.

then why does
vcdhelp.com list hte player as being DVD+RW compatible
and

list it as being DVD+RW compatible?

Wish they would give more information as to WHAT DVD+RW discs work and what programs they used to author if they are going to list it as being compatible.
