  1. Hello All, I need some help here, I'm using TMPEGEnc to Encode a DVD into SVCD (Child's Play). I'm using the NTSC Template and I went to and encoding it in 2300k bitrate, (is that a good bitrate?) so, i didn't want it Pan&Scan like it the orginal so I, changed the aspect ratio to custom and put in 480x320 i think lol, and so i went to source range and split the movie down the middle and when it was done encoding the movie was a 734MB, can u guys tell me wheather i should chop it to a 700MB or weather i can get a program that tells me if it can fit on 2 cds or 3cds before doing all that encoding. I dunno what to do help me

You can get 800 MB SVCD on a 80 minute CD. What's the problem?

  5. hybrid,

don't burn dvd rips as regular data files. u need to use nero's (S)VCD templates to burn those .mpg files. that way you can fit ~750 MB on 74 min CD-R and ~800 MB on 80 min CD-R.
