"DISC is not formatted" error message

Found this player at thetechgeek.com: http://www.thetechgeek.com/content/product.php?pid=7696&cid=112

Can't find a website or any info about it, but noticed that it had a USB port. I called TheTechGeek and they said it's a 2.0 port and that an external hard drive can be attached to play mp4 files through the player. If this is true it makes it a very nifty device. Anyone know anything about this player, or if it's the same as one sold under a differenet brand?

I have a different problem. It will not play reqular DVD. The error message it gives it "DISC is not formatted to play region" or something like that. If anyone know how to make it play DVDs please let me know.

Are you using original discs or copies? Have you tried more than one disc?

The correct error code would also be helpful. From your description above, it sounds like a bad disc or a disc from the wrong region (This player should support at least region 1).
