I've recently converted a couple of avi files to mpeg2 using ffmpegx. I dragged the video_ts file over to toast and selected dvd from a video_ts file. After burning the dvd it played fine on my computer but I'm getting an error on my dvd player when I try to play it. This has happened even when I dragged an entire folder over to toast and burned as a dvd-rom(UDF). I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, and I'm getting tired of wasting dvd-r's. Anyone know what the problem might be?

What error are you getting on your DVD player? Or does it just refuse to play? Have you been able to make a DVD with that same media before? Media problems are the most common cause of not playing. Computers can read about anything, but standalone players are more particular about media quality and format. Also look the the upper left for 'WHAT IS' DVD and see if your burned DVD is compliant with the specifications. <<<<<<<

Thanks for the response. I'm able to play dvd-r's that other people have given me on my dvd player. Those are all rips though. I'm trying to burn mpeg2 that I encoded from avi. Could that be the problem?
