    Hi

I have a file with an AVI extension which apparently has been encoded using wmv3/windows media video 9 according to gspot. The file won't play audio or video in WMP, Media Player Classic or VLC. TMPenc throws a window size error if it goes near it, Stoik trys to encode but just gives a blank screen like the original files and VirtualDub will rencode to an uncompressed AVI but it just shows vertical lines and nothing meaningful.

Is there anything I can do with this file? Any help much appreciated.

    Yours T

    Hi

I tried both those tools and super just won't play while mediacoder appears to do things but again just results in a blank screen.

I looked at the info super gave on the file which is below.

When I tried running the file thropugh TMPenc it did complain about the screen size. The file is from a screen capture.

As its wmv3 in a avi, can't I do something in a hex editor to get out the core stuff?
