when i use vob merge, i end up with a little "skip" where the first vob ends and the second vob begins.
its a problem because i'm trying to put music videos together.
what can i do to make it smoother?

To confirm Baldrick, yes, you will get a skip in the middle of 2 vobs from different videos.
Perfect merging/cutting only works for the same set. VTS_01, VTS_02, etc, etc, etc.... -
they are from the same set. sometimes, it merges cleanly, but it seems like a couple of frames are missing in between, is it a problem with the video files?
