    apart from DVDLAB & TMPGEnc are there any other DVD authoring tools that accept VOB's?

    yeah I know you can demux blah blah blah but I'm just checking if there are any other options for the simple stuff for people

    I see GUI for dvdauthor looks like it does it but again are there any more?

  3. In Ulead DVD Moviefactory, it will work if you just rename .vob to .mpg.

    will that program re-encode or will it leave the VOB as is?

  5. I believe EncoreDVD will accept it as well without re-encoding. Not positive though. If you need me to, I can check.

    thanks for the info although $350 is a lot of money in comparison to the others

    There is a option box to check that says something like "don't re-encode compliant files", then it will not re-encode
