I would like to make a DVD of short clips from Christmas movies that I own on DVD (e.g., The Christmas Story). I have a DVD burner on my PC, blank DVD-Rs, and several Christmas movies on DVD. I would like to:

    1. Copy several clips from several different movies to my computer.
    2. Arrange those clips however I see fit.
    3. Burn those clips to a DVD-R.
    4. Be able to play the DVD on a DVD player.

If you could link to a guide or answer the above question, I would really appreciate it. I am trying to put together a DVD for Christmas day. Thanks.

There are quite a few ways of doing this. DVD Shrink in re-author mode will allow you to grab just sections of a disc and combine sections of different discs together. You don't get a menu with DVD Shrink.

Tmpgenc DVD Author's Add Video option is another, perhaps after using Shrink to trim the sections you want. You can create menus with TDA.
