    Hi!

I've tried burning a data-dvd (Vobs on a DVD-R with no authoring) and tried playing them on my brothers Toshiba SD260. The first VOB plays fine but the vobs after that have absolutely no sound. The picture is fine. After searching the internet it seem other people have suffered the same problem with even different machines.

Is this problem very common among DVD players? I need to seriously upgrade my Pioneer 444 (it does'nt play Divx). Having a player that will play Divx and Data-DVDs would be nice. I hav'ent tested data dvds on pioneers.

Can a few people who have have experience with Data DVDs please post their experience. If you have a Pioneer player (newer ones) that feedback would be good.

    Thanks in advance!

Common problem. Just vob files are not meant for playback on computers or dvd players. VOBs can contain several audio tracks, subs, etc and they are also splitted and it can cause strange problems.

If the vobs are from same dvd you can try vobmerge and make one vob file. Or maybe vob2mpg and make a mpg.

But best is to make a real dvd.
