Hey, I just want to encode the credits of my DVD so I can preserve the quality of the movie. How do I reencode only the end credits and nothing else using CCE and DVD-Rebuilder? Thanks!

  2. Hi-
    1. Run a "No Compression" PREPARE.
    2. Open the REBUILDER.ECL file and another new file with Notepad.
    3. Cut and paste the header (the first couple of lines) into another text file.
    4. Move down the REBUILDER.ECL file until you see the section (starting with "[item]" that relates to the cell you want to encode. Cut and paste that section also.
    5. Save the new file as "encode.ecl"
    6. Then you can open CCE manually and encode just that section. It will overwrite the M2V file extracted in PREPARE.
    7. REBUILD

If you're saying that the movie is just a little bit over the size of a DVD5, and reencoding just the credits to a smaller size will allow you to then fit the entire movie onto a DVD5, in my opinion it would be easier to do it yourself manually, outside of DVD-RB.

Extract the cell containing the credits using PGCDemux. Reencode them. Remux them using Muxman, creating a little DVD of just the credits. Use the "Replace" button of VobBlanker to replace just the cell containing the credits.

  4. Looks easier and faster, doesn't it, romi7519, if hiimbored has the Pro version of DVD-RB. He didn't say.

Spend $10 on the upgrade, not me. Hell, I'm still using the trial version of CCE with DVD-RB and it does work! The wife once told me she loves the feel of a fur coat so I bought her a cat she could stroke
