I'm looking for some members that have used iPod fm transmitters in their cars before. I want to guy one for my girlfriend for x-mas, but not sure about how good the audio really is when being used. I haven't been able to find any real reviews for these. And if I go by what each products webpage says, they are the best fm transmitter....go figure......they are all the best?

Umm... doesn't your ipod have a regular headphone jack?

Then you can use ANY fm transmitter. I believe all of the "non" ipod fm transmitters use just the plain old headphone jack. I got one that is pretty decent. Can't tell you the brand though - I've only used it a handful of times.

Well, I have the monster icarplay thingie. I wanted it as it charges at the same time that it plays the FM (two in one type of gig).

But, I also have a belkin FM transmitter that as yoda says plugs in via the headphone jack. Cheap, and does the job well enough.
