does any1 know of an app which lets you view the video and audio bitrates of mpeg-1 and mpeg-2 files?

yeah, but virtual dub takes ages to load an mpeg file - especially if it's a big 'un!
i just wondered if there was a little util that would do it? -
There is a program in the 'Tools' section (funny, you wouldn't think something like this would be there) called MPEGProperties with the following description:
"MpegProperties will show you all header parameters like bitrate,imagesize, user data and so on.. Freeware."
I've never used it, so I don't know if it will tell you the bitrates. But, something about the description leads me to believe this may be what you are looking for. Give it a try and let us know. Also, I don't know how long it takes to quere the MPEG and tell the properties.
