Fake TYs?

I only buy Tayio Yuden. And unless there is a sale somewhere, I usually buy from supermediastore. I've never had problems with them before.

Normally I buy 200 Tys at a time and they come in four 50-pack spindles. But they were ha
ving a sale and free shipping. So I stocked up and bought 500.

When the discs arrived, much to my horror, they were in 100 pack spindles. Not the value line wrap tape, but spindles.

I ordered product # DVD01x0165-001 which is supposed to be the premium TYs in 50 pack cake boxes. NOT 100.

I didn't think legit TYs came in 100 packs. Now I am thinking maybe they they slipped me some "value" TYs. Or even worse.

Has anybody heard of TY selling the premium line in 100-pack spindles?

Got the same from Supermediastore.com. DVD-R 8x silver-lacquered TYG02. I wouldn't worry about that...

Except I ran a few of my last batch of the same discs from SMS through the Nero Quality Test, and got PIEs ranging from 4,000,000 to 6,000,000, burned at 4x or 8x on an NEC 3550a/1.06bt.
