A Canadian guy was perusing through a NYC street/garage sale in 2002 and bought 3 phonograph records for 75 cents each - 2 vinyl, 1 acetate. And the one on acetate could make him a small fortune on eBay in about 8 hours:

It's big news locally since a Portland, Oregon vinyl seller was asked to shepherd the auction for the owner.

Have you ever listened to The Velvet Underground?

    I wouldn't pay $9.95 for the CD so I surely wouldn't
    pay $150,000 for the album!!!

I suppose TVU sounded good during the 60s when some
people were in a certain "state of mind"!
