    I bought an Philips DVP642 off of someone who had it set up to play with video component cables. When I hook it up to my system with the blue, red and yellow cables I get no picture but I get sound. I have to go into the menu and change the setup but I have no picture hence the problem.

    Would anyone with this player be able to walk me through the menu set up so i can change the settings?

    Try a friend's TV and change the setup. The sound is coming from the white and red wires.
