    Hi everyone!!

    FOr my wedding, the photographer gave us a dvd with all the pictures on them as a slidesho, and I am unable to retrieve and upload the photos for printing. Is there a program for that or do i just download a dvd ripper? please help so that my wife will be happy!! she did not want a slideshow but atual photos to do "strapbooking."

    You could 'snapshot' them off the DVD with several video playing programs. VirtualDub Mod, for one or VLC or PowerDVD. I think you may find out they are lower resolution pictures than the originals, though, if they have been converted to video format.

    If they are not in VOB format, then you should just be able to open the DVD with Windows Explorer and see the individual photos.

    If they are low resolution, you might ask the photographer if he has the originals, though he may charge you for a full resolution copy of them. They should fit on a DVD data disc.

    This might be intentional on the part of the photographer - I know our photographer charged us for every print. Which is why my advice - "ask the photographer" might not be the answer you are looking for.

    they were converted to vob format, and unfortunately the photographer erased all of the originals. Sucks!!!

    I thought mabey that it was possible to "break apart" oe rip video into individual frame fragments and do it that way. I tried to use powerdvd to screen shot the movie but it did not work.
