I recently got Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0, and I can't place a video to edit in the program. When I try, as soon as I click on the video in the program, the whole program freezes. I've tried letting it sit for a while to see if the bar on the bottom where it says that the video is "conforming" loads up, but nothing happens. I've also tried other videos to see if it does the same thing, and it does.
I've searched all over the internet, but haven't found anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What format is the video? Is it supported in the Premiere Elements list of supported formats?

"Wag of the finger" at Adobe.
That's bad/lazy programming. And I am familiar with Elements for that. I have had to modify the Video for Windows version of our DV decoder because Elements doesn't respond to the messages from our decoder in the way that Microsoft specifies.John Miller
