  1. I'm talking about your first burn!

Do you remember the first disk that you burned?

My first was a VCD. I found this website and learned how to
create the VCD and burn it. Actually it was an SVCD!!!
I think the burner was a Yamaha.

The video on that first disk was "Time" by Pink Floyd.

It came out perfect and I was over-joyed. It really worked.

After that I was trying to decide if I should buy a new device that
had become affordable. It was called a DVD burner!

I bought the DVD burner and, as they say, never looked back.

  2. I burned some data files to a 1X SCSI CD burner. That always dished out buffer errors if you had anything else open

    um, no.....
it seems like so long ago, but it couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years TOPS.
it was probably a music CD, but possibly a data CD.
then I burned tons of VCD's using Prassi.
I only own 1 VCD now -- an SVCD of "Transformers: Scramble City part 1"

Hard drive backup. The whole thing fit on 1 CD using a 1x SCSI burner on a $5 CD-R. This was in the late 1990s, maybe 1996-1997.

    Hmmmm....

When I saw the title I began to wonder!

I remember my first burn was a VCD.
    That was a while ago!
A man walked into his son's room and said..."Son, that will cause blindness."
The boy said, "Dad, I'm over here."

    Same here too.

I owned a SCSI 2X Creative Labs CD-Writer and at that time it was THE sh1t!.
I remember that the hard drive I had at the time I purchased the writer was a 500MB HD with Win 3.1
To make a full CD I had to do it in 2 sessions.
If you started the recording and by mistake opened anything else.... **POOF** buffer underrun error!.

My first CD burned was a compilation of downloaded software/tools I had on the HD.
