  1. When i make a AVi captured in dv formate from my camcorder, to play full screen i see all these blocks and sqaure appear on the film. But when i encode it to mpeg2 all those square on the film disappear.

    Why does those square appear on the avi file and not the mpeg. is my capturing wrong.

    I can't give you a highly technical answer, but it's pretty much normal.

    Reduce the size of the screen you are playing back the AVI and it should go away (to the eye anyhow). It sounds like you are playing an Interlaced AVI on a computer monitor (These use progressive scan rather than an interlaced signal ment for televesion).

    Also, your video card has a harder time writing that many pixles really fast when you are running full screen.

    Then there is the magnifing effect when running in full screen.

    Just reduce the screen size, and encode it. It's sounds normal to me, and would prolly look perfect on a TV screen.
