I have a Japanese movie, but the English subtitles don't come on right away, and I want to make it so they do. I don't want them to be forced subtitles though; if for whatever reason I wanted to turn them off, I should be able to.

Can someone tell me if I can do this with IfoEdit or link me to a guide that explains this?

What are you playing the video on?

  3. Yeah, on what are you playing them? If on the standalone, even if they're not turned on in the IFOs, you should have a DVD player setup option to turn on subs. That way, unless they're turned off in the IFOs, you'll get subs in your language.

Anyway, it's possible to turn them on in the IFOs using PGCEdit:

It's actually easier than the guide makes it out to be. Some of that stuff can be skipped.

Thanks for the help. I play movies on both my standalone player and in my computer equally.
