I've got several AVI's about 15 files each one about 100MB I want to put them on a DVD so I can watch them on my TV. Can someone point me in the way of doing this?

<-<-<- All Guides, search avi to DVD under "format conversion."
AVI2DVD is free and recommended for beginners.

ConvertXtoDvd is not free but WELL worth the $$ & works great!!!!!
You can even make basic menu's, add chapters & has subtitle support, ect.

Remember that you have a finite amount of space to play with. When encoding video, space = bitrate x running time. The more running time you want to fit, the less bitrate you can use. The lower the bitrate, the lower the quality.

An avi of 100mb means nothing when it comes to converting to DVD.

Can you tell us the running time of these videos, and the resolution. This will help us determine the best solution. Both of those offered are valid for avi to DVD, but may not be the best. However with so little information to go on, that is the best you can hope for.

Well I tried the ConvertXtoDVD and it worked sort of. The DVD's play in my dvd player but have this sort of stutter sticking thing going on every so many seconds of playing.

    One file is 96.2MB
    Width 352 Pixels
    Height 192 Pixels
    Duration 42.53
    Audio
    Bit Rate 47kbps
    Audio Format mpeg layer-3
    Video
    Frame rate 25 frames/second
    Data rate 38kbps

TBH even if you convert it the finished product will look like shit. Can your DVD player and TV actually play PAL? Or are you converting to NTSC?

What was the source framerate ? Changing framerate from 29.97 to 25 fps or 25 to 29.97 fps can produce sticking on pans and zooms.

How does it play on your computer? If it's fine then I suspect your player doesn't like PAL much and plays it back poorly.

The Video plays fine from the dvd after i burn it in my computer. But does the freezing every so many seconds on my TV dvd. I let it play the other day and came back and it looked like it got past the sticking part and all the sound had a choppy effect going to it.

http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm walks you through the basics, using TMPGEnc Plus as an example.
    If in doubt, Google it.
