The Chinese not wanting to pay royalties is not news of course but if enough manufacturers decide they don't want to pay $12 - $18 per unit for royalties and instead want to pay $2 per unit for (their) domestic players then we could indeed be in trouble. Worst case is probably a loss of low end equipment which may be a blessing in disguise. I'm sure many of us are tired of these low quality units by now.....
