Yes, I researched, tried some solutions but didn't work for me so I am asking for help.
I am ripping DVD's using DVD fab (current version as of yesterday) and converting them to mpg with VOB2MPG to watch them on the XBOX 360.
Most DVD's work flawlessly except for a few. Episode V for example, only gets to the Lucas Films screen before it freezes up for a few seconds then jumps to the android scout impacting the ground when Luke is out surveying. Other DVD's rip without issue. The problem is with the initial rip. I have also tried other rippers with the same results.
Please if anybody can offer any solutions I would be forever grateful. Trying to get my HTPC loaded before Christmas. Thank you.
ZD.

after ripping anything with DVD Fab decrypter, run it through FixVTS. This fixes most issues.

Doing that as we speak, waiting for results. Thank you for the quick response!

It usually works. The problem is the way Son'y latest protection scheme works. It actually creates "damaged" areas on the disc. The DVD navigation is designed to avoid the 'damaged' areas during playback, but copy software doesn't usually have this luxuary, and gets caught. To get around this protection, the "damaged" areas are ignored during the copying process, but this can leave the actual DVD structure incomplete. FixVTS attempts to put it all back together again.
Hopefully it works for you this time.Read my blog here.

I had something similar happen. One of my kids dvds was so badly scratched that it wouldn't play properly, so I decided to make a back up copy. I tried everything, DVDFabDecrypter, DVDShrink, DVD Decrypter, Any DVD, Clone DVD, but nothing would read the dvd. So I searched the web for other applications and came across 1ClickdvdCopy. This application claimed to read damaged disks. This did read the disk without a problem and so I was able to make a copy.
I then needed to make a back up of another dvd and used DVDFabDecrypter. When I played this back on my computer it froze and looked distorted, so I tried it with 1ClickDVD and it was perfect.
Has anyone used this program over a period of time? I used the free trial and must say was impressed with the results. With what Guns1inger said about disks appearing 'damaged' I wonder if this application has something that others do not.
Zeusdog2006, try the free trial on these disks and see if it improves the results. -
The DVD's I'm copying to mpg are not damaged but I will give it a shot. I'm shocked not more poeple are having this problem.

I had a similar issue with Divinci Code(region 2 PAL). I ended up going backwards to the previous version of DVDFabDecrypter to get the "movie only".
