Need a recommendation...5 disk DVD, w/upconversion and region hack

Hi all,

I'm in need of a 5 Disk or 6 disk DVD player/changer, to hook to my home theater system. I would like upconversion and need a model with a sure fire region code hack. I have lots of Region 2 DVD's. I currently use the Oppo, which I love and will find a new home in my bedroom.

The price range should be less than $300 if possible. Thanks for the help, I have been having a hard time finding a changer thats both region hackable and upconverting.

Which OPPO DIGITAL do you have?

I ask because you will find no better DVD player when it comes to PAL to NTSC than those that use the DCDi by Faroudja chipset ala the OPPO DIGITAL OPDV971H model.

If PAL to NTSC is important to you and budget is not a concern then you want ... no you need ... the OPPO DIGITAL OPDV971H

It is the Oppo OPDV971H, it is the bomb, but I would like a DVD changer. I'm looking at a Yamaha changer, Yamahas are simple to region code hack, but cost a bit more than I wanted to pay...at least most are simple, the same hack for most current models.

specifically the Yamaha DVD-C950, which is over $300, but is probably a decent player. Also DVD+R playback is important to me as well.

I'm also considering the Nakamichi soundspace 8.5 home theater, not upconverting, but I bet the sound is fantastick. I have soundspace 8 shelf system hooked into my Oppo, and people are in awe of the sound with just a standard, non-digital, component input. The 8.5 will most likely be hackable, as all other nakamichis have the same hack.
