How to rip dvd karaoke to VCD/SVCD so that i can on/off vocal?

Please anyone has any guide to do this?

Hi John,

I have read the forum topic above. I just wonderred how is you TMPGEnc setting? I got a good result when view the mpg file on my computer. But after I burn to SVCD, the high motion area look so jurky.

Here is what I setup and used:
TMPGEnc (v2.02):
Video: MPEG-2 Video/2210CBR/480x480/29.9fps
Advanced: Interlace/Bottom Field (Field B)/4:3 525 line (NTSC)/Fullscreen (keep aspect ratio)/(no filters)
GOP:1,4,2,1 with detect screen changed checked
Quantize Matrix: 8/16 32/32

Burned with Nero v5.5.0.3 OEM version.

Did you created a /bin/.cue first or just burn directly with Nero?
