  1. OK...I defragged my HD. It's a SATA drive and the slave. I defragged it for the first time the other day. Since then, when I double-click on an MP3 file it just sits there. It does nothing. I can't even close the window. Then, I manually start up Winamp and it takes forever, but when it does start up it starts to play the MP3 file I originally double-clicked. Help

    A defrag shouldn't effect program access. You might want to uninstall and re-install WinAmp. I assume the WinAmp program was on your boot drive. If so, defragging a slave drive should have no effect.
