Noob Burning Question

I'm new to all this and there's so many options I'm all confused. I'm just looking for some help on how to burn some stuff.

First off, my DVD player is Astar DVD-3100 - supporting DVD Video, CD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVCD, SVCD, VCD, CD-DA, CD-R/RW, MP3, Kodak Picture CD.
I have a combo drive, CDRW + DVDRW with lightscribe.
I'm using Nero 6 Ultra Edition
I have DVDR's and CDR's available for burning.

I need help and instruction on burning .AVI .WMA BIN & CUE files to DVDR or CDR to play on my home DVD player. My confusion starts with Nero with having so many options to choose from. Most of my files are 700mb+ in size and 120 minutes in length.

AVI, WMV to DVD, I recommend ConvertXtoDVD but you can also use NeroVision that is included in Nero:
